Quickly get indexed in Search Engine – Google, Yahoo! and MSN
Posted on February 27th, 2009 No commentsMajority of people today use a search engine to find what they need. So it is good to have your website indexed in search engine like Google, Yahoo! and MSN. However, getting a web site indexed by search engine is not an easy task for a webmaster.
From my experience so far managing some web sites, following are some of the way you may find useful in getting your site indexed quickly by search engine like Google, Yahoo, MSN and so on.
The basic, but most important is to create a website with good content. The more original it is, the better!
Another important step you should not forget is to use the search engine webmaster tools – Google webmaster, Yahoo! site explorer and so on. This is a service provided by Google & Yahoo! to help index your site. Also, remember to submit your website XML sitemap to these tools.

Due to budget constraint, I have tried most of the free webhosting so far like Geocities, T35, AngelFire, Tripod and so on. There are sites which review and rate these services like FREE-WEBHOSTS.com. Overall it was a good start for any beginner to try to park their contents in the Internet. It is very valuable especially you do not have any budget for this. However, as you may know, there are some limitation on these free web hosting services. Most of the free them limit the size of disk space available to users. Some may have force advertisements. There is no free lunch so far

Posted on July 22nd, 2008 No commentsStill in the process of learning how to blog. Have searched for some books & tutorials on blogging recently. Few options found so far for hosting of my blogs:
1. Blogger.com
2. Wordpress.com
3. Typepad.com
4. LiveJournal.com
I have been using Blogger for few times previously – so far so good. But understand that there are more options that I can use if using Wordpress. Anyway, for the time being, Blogger will be my first choice.
