• Wishing vs. Believing

There is a difference between WISHING for a thing and being READY to receive it. No one is ready for a thing, until he believes he can acquire it.

In his poem “My Wage”, Jessie B. Rittenhouse has stated that:

I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
    However I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store.

For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

    I worked for a menial’s hire,
    Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
    Life would have willingly paid.

The greatest achievement was, at first, and for a time, but a dream. To make your dream come true, you need to believe that it will be. The state of mind must be BELIEF, not mere hope or wish.
